Hill's Involvement With NCVEI
The commitment of Hill's Pet Nutrition to supporting the veterinary profession began
more than fifty years ago with the company's founder. Besides creating the science
of clinical nutrition for companion animals, Dr. Mark L Morris, Sr. was the first
President of the American Animal Hospital Association, and also served as President
of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
The tradition of Hill's veterinarians serving the profession continues today across
the globe. The two Hill's Directors who serve as the company's representatives on
the NCVEI Sponsor's Council epitomize that tradition and commitment. Dr. Mary Beth
Leininger was 1996/1997 President of the AVMA and Dr. Clayton MacKay was 1995/1996
President of the AAHA. Both of these professionals bring to the NCVEI decades of
experience with veterinary associations and keen insights into the challenges faced
by our practitioner colleagues.
