Why we are involved with the NCVEI

Bayer Animal Health has long been a supporter of organized veterinary medicine, particularly the AVMA. We believe that, for Bayer to continue to prosper, the profession which we serve must prosper, both scientifically and economically. For this reason, Bayer became involved with the NCVEI in 1999 as a founding member of the Sponsor's Council. At that time, Bayer executives saw the potential for veterinary medicine to enter the new century with some great medical advances. However, they were also concerned that the lack of a solid economic foundation for many in clinical practice may have prevented them from taking full advantage of those advances in technology. Bayer's partnership with NCVEI represents an opportunity for Bayer to join with the NCVEI's founding organizations, the AVMA, AAHA, and AAVMC, in a shared vision for a caring, scientifically advanced, and economically sound veterinary profession.
